 About CLAA

About CLAA
The Canadian Livestock Advance Association issues cash advances under the Advance Payments Program to cow-calf producers in Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

The Advance Payments Program is a financial loan guarantee program that is operated by Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada and administered by various producer organizations throughout Canada, including CLAA.

CLAA issues advances on calves intended for market, and will not issue advances for breeding stock. Producers must own their animals at all times to qualify for a CLAA advance.
